The break is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems solved and who knows, get a job. You never know who you are going to meet at lafcpug. From Jim:
I'll be talking about Beauty Box Video 2.0, the new release of our award winning plugin for doing skin retouching on video. It's now faster, supports FCP 7 and X, and has some cool new features like the ability to reduce hot spots on shiny skin. It's an easy to use, fast way of removing blemishes and wrinkles and dealing with makeup problems. We also support Adobe CS6, Sony Vegas, Assimilate Scratch, and an Avid version is coming soon.
About Jim Tierney
Jim Tierney, is a pioneer in the development of visual tools for motion design and compositing. During the 1990's, Jim worked for software companies like MetaTools, Atomic Power and Cycore. He helped create graphics products like Bryce, Evolution and Studio Effects. After working on After Effects plugins for almost a decade, Jim thought it was finally time to get out there and do some of his own. So he did, and Digital Anarchy was born in 2001.

Steve Martin will be showing you why FCPX's smart collections are an editor's best friend when organizing your Event Library. He'll also show you some practical ways to share your Event and Project databases with other editors - both remotely and locally.

He has taught workshops at NAB, Macworld, DV Expo, QuickTime Live and the American Film Institute. He is currently a lead instructor for Apple's Certified Pro training program.
